Grand Massif ski area (one of the largest ski areas in Europe): IT'S IN THE BEAUTIFUL MIDDLE OF THE ALPS IN HAUTE-SAVOIE!

Access the Grand Massif just 1 km from Chalet Pura Vida by car or by FREE shuttle 100 m from the Chalet every 20 to 40 minutes (depending on the school term)

Halfway between Chamonix and Geneva, the Grand Massif welcomes winter sports enthusiasts in a ski area full of character and contrasts.

The Grand Massif area extends over 5 stations with connections ( FLAINE – LES CARROZ – MORILLON – SAMOËNS – SIXT FER A CHEVAL ). With 40,000 ha of surface area between 720 and 2,500 m above sea level, it is one of the largest in Europe and is a delight for all fans of alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing or escape skiing. 142 slopes await you including 23 green, 60 blue, 47 red and 12 black. Highest point: 2500 m altitude – 139 slopes – 67 ski lifts – 1800 m cumulative altitude difference

Fun sliding in Morillon : On the Grand Massif area, 4 snowparks, 3 moguls stadiums, 2 slalom stadiums and 2 halfpipes are held ready to welcome the most beautiful acrobatics of our tenants.

Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in Morillon : 80 km of cross-country ski trails are accessible to all ages and all levels in the Giffre valley between Morillon, Samoëns, Sixt-Fer-à-cheval. At the Col de la Joux Plane at 1,700 m, follow an impressive route facing Mont-Blanc. On snowshoes, our guests can discover the secrets of Morillon during invigorating snowshoe walks.

Activities for children in Morillon : In the children's village, a daycare has been set up. Little ones can enjoy themselves in the snow garden, learn to ski in the beginner area and fun areas or go sledding on small slopes designed for them. In Morillon and Samoëns, discover skating with your family.

Skiing is not the only option for enjoying the mountains.
In Morillon, in Haute-Savoie, there are many non-skiing activities on snow and winter sports: dog sledding, snowmobiling, tobogganing, walking, snowshoeing, or trail running on snow...

The Samoens ice rink

All winter long, young and old meet there, exchange ideas and come to have fun. The rink also experiences the emotion of ice dance shows and the lively fervor of ice hockey matches, its great winter evenings with the Lynx team.

Snowshoe Hiking

To enjoy a beautiful snowshoe hike, maintained and marked circuits, with free access, are located at the Col de Pierre Carrée located at an altitude of 1844m.
The activity can be practiced alone, or accompanied by a professional, and even in the evening!

Set off to discover the forests, snow-covered mountain pastures, and marvel at our landscapes!

Snowmobile

Go on an adventure aboard one of our snowmobiles for an unusual trip full of surprises in the heart of the Alps and its breathtaking landscapes!

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, we offer different packages with prices adapted to your expectations: a snowmobile experience to discover and get to grips with the machine; for the more experienced who have already ridden a snowmobile, quad or motorcycle, more complex routes to cover to get their fill of sensations!

This activity is practiced after the slopes have closed, at nightfall and at night, for a real hike between slopes and forests.

Sled dogs in Haute-Savoie

Do you like nature, skiing and contact with animals?
Experience a moment of complicity with sled dogs! No need to go to Canada to glimpse this universe: in Haute-Savoie, supervised by professional mushers, you can learn how to drive a team, or, sitting comfortably, let yourself be guided through the snowy trails (at from 3 years).

Mountain Kart

Race down 616 meters of altitude difference on an all-terrain kart.
Race down the snowy slopes from the top of the Aup de Véran gondola in Flaine. A unique driving experience.

The descent takes place on the following slopes: Méphisto, Calcite, Pine, Maple.

Nature animation 

Ski differently!
To discover the wildlife of our mountains in winter, the ski area has set up a marauding service.
A special moment where we discover, with a facilitator, the adaptation strategies and behaviors that can preserve it. And it’s obviously free!
Throughout the season Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Désert Blanc sur Flaine chairlift.
All of these meetings will only be held if the weather conditions are suitable.

Yoga course

Yoga relaxation class | Free activity and accessible to all
Learn to let go, to connect your body to your mind, while enjoying a walk in a natural environment. Meet at the Col de Pierre Carrée to reproduce the postures and breathing indicated throughout the route.

Domaine du Petit Plateau
This 3 km course offers 10 yoga postures to do alone or with friends. It offers magnificent panoramas of the Aravis and Faucigny.

The scarecrow park

La Maison du Père Fouettard
The now famous twin brother of Santa Claus is now installed in the park. After two years, in a temporary house, he is finally home!

Enter and discover his daily life where everything is in its place and there are no exceptions!

Find his office from where he watches over young and old and tracks down the slightest stupidity, his kitchen, his bedroom and also the chimney sweeps that he trains throughout the year to ensure Santa's passage.

Le Palais du Père Gourmand:
Always looking into his recipes, constantly looking for what will make his cakes the most surprising, don't hesitate to ask him about it. Otherwise he risks not seeing you or hearing you.

Come closer, observe them, their mission is of the utmost importance, they are there to watch over the spirit and values of Christmas.
During the day, one of them will tell you one of their fabulous stories filled with the magic of Christmas.



Outdoor activities:
Accompanied by the famous holiday melodies year, try the experience of exploring the largest tree maze in Europe. A kilometer of escape in the heart of the trees, accessible to everyone on foot or by stroller, and completely secure.
A traditional end-of-year activity, the ecological ice rink offers you a moment of fun between young and old. Then visit the crèche and the first Santa Claus village.
